Studying English at the University of Bern: Info-Event + Live-Chat with Student Committee

The live sessions will be conducted by two lecturers in the department, who are experts in both linguistics and literature. We will inform students about our current study plan, study options and some course expectations and requirements. We will also provide students with a brief overview of the different types of courses on offer so that students can gain insight into what studying both English Linguistics and English Literature means at the university level.
After the presentation, a live chat session will be held by members of our Student Committee. The SC serves as bridge between staff and students as well as between students and staff. This means students currently studying English will be available to answer any questions you may have about the Department of English as well as what it means to study English at the University of Bern. In addition, the students will inform prospective students about the students' committee aims, goals and functions at the department. They will also inform prospective students of specific social events that the SC organizes, such as Christmas and summer parties that are open to all students and staff at the Department of English.
